MMW offers an interpreting service provided by certified professionals in any language, thanks to the presence of members of its network in many countries. Interpreting may take place in person, at the venue agreed with the client, or by video conference. Our interpreters are certified professionals accredited with the main registers and recognised linguistic institutions, able to work in two or more language combinations simultaneously, and offer the following services:
- liaison interpreting (business meetings)
- consecutive interpreting (meetings and corporate presentations)
- simultaneous interpreting (conferences and symposia)
- chuchotage (personal language assistance during a meeting or presentation)
- video-conference interpreting on the main platforms
- linguistic and cultural mediation for foreign guests, ministerial delegations and travelling management
- technical interpreting (support for corporate courses in a foreign language)
- telephone language consultancy
- linguistic adaptation of existing texts
- live-chat language support
- teachers for in-house corporate language courses
Liaison interpreters
Liaison interpreting concerns non-specialist subjects and is used for depositions, court hearings, general medical consultations and language assistance during travel and trade fairs. The speaker talks for a few minutes in the source language and pauses while the interpreter renders the statements in the target language; the conversation continues in this way with the interpreter acting as intermediary.
Consecutive interpreters
Consecutive interpreting is used in meetings involving highly specialised terminology, in fields such as technology, economics and specialist medicine, on occasions ranging from high-level business negotiations to surgical procedures.
Simultaneous interpreters
Simultaneous or conference interpreting is used for conferences, seminars, presentations and business meetings. The interpreter translates at the same time as the speaker, from a soundproof booth, and the audience listens through headsets. For small groups, portable equipment with headsets and microphones may be used instead of booths. Our interpreting team can arrange all the equipment required.
